Lesson Planning for Adults
Purpose:
To help adults in the RCIA program understand the traditions of the Catholic Burial rite.
Focus:
The lesson begins by exploring the adults’ own experiences at funerals. It then explains the reasons why the Catholic Church emphasizes the importance of proper respect for the dead. It then details the three parts of the Catholic funeral and the importance of a Catholic cemetery for honoring the dead.
