Lesson Planning for 3rd Grade
Purpose:
This lesson teaches students about the central aspects of the Catholic burial rite and how it both honors the deceased and offers consolation to the family.
Focus:
The three Sacred Moments of a Catholic Funeral are discussed in detail – what is the purpose and what happens at each of them. The importance of remembering and praying for the deceased is emphasized along with a discussion of the reality of Heaven.
